What is a "Coffeeshop Crawl"?

A coffeeshop crawl can be very similar to the classic bar crawl, where the object was to drink in as many bars as possible in one night. The only difference being that you'll be visiting the famous Cannabis Coffeeshops of Amsterdam.
In a traditional bar crawl, you usually ended up with a bunch of guys in a drunken stupor, puking all over each other. In a Cannabis Coffeeshop Crawl this doesn't happen. Instead all concerned will be Stoned Immaculate instead.
With this in mind, Confuzn decided that it was time to start this new tradition, where the journey is much more fun, and the finish less of a disaster.........and thus the "Coffeeshop Crawl" was born in the spring of 2002.....

Confuzn had some basic rules to his crawl, so if you want to beat his record you got to do the same.
This was the basic concept, I think. Correct me if I am wrong...
1) 2 people smoke at least 1 gram of hash or bud in each shop. You don't have to buy a gram in every shop you go, just got to smoke that gram between 2 people.
2) spend at least 45 minutes in each shop.

dannymac has proposed a goal oriented crawl, '24 IN 24'. The rules are a bit less stringent, allowing for the possibility that this can actually be achieved:
1) 2 or more people spend some time in 24 different cannabis Coffeeshops in one 24 hour period.
2) each person must smoke something in each shop, whether it be hash or marijuana. Someone in the group should also make some sort of purchase in each shop....gear, refreshment, munchies, or a souvenir.

....but a crawl can actually take many different forms. How about a Historical Crawl of the oldest hash and marijuana coffeeshops in Amsterdam; or a Small Crawl of cannabis coffeeshops that seat less than 10 people; let your imagination go wild....
All you really need is at least one other friend to join you and one day in which to reach that goal.......Your very own place on our Wall of Fame.

And of course, a final requirement for any crawl - especially those crawls not yet dreamed up- is to post your crawl as a trip report at www.channels.nl
